This article is for Maintenance Partners who are working with Site hosts that are new to the Chargefox platform. If a Site host does not yet have a Chargefox account, please refer them to us so we can step them through the onboarding process.
When to refer a Site host
If you are installing a station for a site that has not used Chargefox before, the site host will need to be set up with a new organisation account before their station can be connected to the platform.
How to refer a Site host
To refer a new site host, please ask them to complete the Account Setup Request form to begin the onboarding process.
Note: The site host must have a valid ABN to set up an organisation account.
Being added as a maintenance contact
If you will be the ongoing maintenance provider for the site, you can ask the site host to nominate you as their maintenance contact.
The site host can then request that Chargefox add you to their account. Once added:
You’ll be listed as the primary contact for maintenance-related issues
You’ll receive email notifications when a station goes offline or is marked out of order
This ensures you're kept informed of any issues and can respond quickly to keep the station operational.
What happens next
Once the request is submitted, our team will:
Create the site host’s organisation account
Provide access to the Site Host Dashboard
Send the Site Host Agreement for review and signing
Benefits of a Chargefox organisation account
Having an organisation account gives the site host access to key tools and insights, including:
Station monitoring and usage data
Control over pricing, access settings, and availability
Charging session reports and revenue summaries
Receive disbursement of funds from driver payments
Access to our 24/7 roadside assistance if drivers are having issues at their station
It also ensures their stations are listed and discoverable in the Chargefox app, Australia’s largest EV charging network.
