Chargefox collects revenue from drivers for paid charging sessions on our platform. We process this revenue and send it back to Site hosts, minus a small administration fee.
How Chargefox handles charging revenue
We collect money from drivers when they pay to charge their cars. This works the same way for both:
- Public charging stations, and
- Private charging stations
Payments to Site hosts
We pay site hosts their share of the revenue. Here's how it works:
- When: We pay monthly or quarterly
- Amount: Total revenue minus our administration fee
- What you get: Your payment plus detailed records
Tax documentation
We follow GST rules by giving you:
- A Recipient Created Tax Invoice (RCTI) with each payment
- A CSV file that shows every charging session during the payment period
The CSV file gives you complete details about all charges at your stations.
Getting ready for quarterly payments
We need your details before we can send your payment. We check this before each payment period ends.
If information is missing:
- We will try to contact you
- If we can't reach you, we won't send your payment
Required information
We need these details to send your payment:
- ABN number (must be registered for GST)
- Bank details (BSB, account number, and account name)
- Email address (for the person who will receive the tax invoice)
Monthly vs quarterly payments
Default: All new accounts get quarterly payments
Monthly payments: Some customers get monthly payments based on how much revenue they collect
Payment timeline
Monthly payments: We send payment within five business days after the month ends
