If you host public charge stations on Chargefox, you can create public notes to communicate important station information to a driver.
Creating a new public note
To create a public note, go to Network and select Charge stations.
Select the charge station you'd like to add a public note for.
In the station details tab, locate the Public note field. Enter your note, then press Update note to publish it.
Updating or removing a public note
To edit or remove a public note, update the text in the public note field or delete it. Press Update note to save your changes.
Best practices for public notes
-
Keep it simple: Keep public notes concise and focused on communicating essential information to avoid overwhelming drivers.
-
Be clear: Use clear, direct language to ensure public notes are easily understood by drivers. Avoid using jargon or technical language.
-
Stay relevant: Public notes should be specific to the charge station’s status, availability, or maintenance updates.
- Keep notes up-to-date: Remove outdated public notes to drivers to avoid confusing drivers and to keep station details accurate.
Examples of effective public notes
- "This station has limited availability during peak hours (5-8 PM)."
- "This station will be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance on 29 October 2024 from 8-9 PM."
- "Parking is limited to 2 hours while charging."
System-generated notes
System-generated notes are generated by the system to alert drivers of real-time status updates and technical issues. They appear beneath the public note and cannot be edited. System-generated notes are visible to drivers in the Chargefox mobile app.
