This article outlines how you can join the Chargefox platform as a Site host, and who to contact if you need help. The process typically takes 5 - 10 business days from initial request to account activation.
Step 1: Complete the setup form
Fill out the Chargefox New Account Setup Form online. This form is for organisations that host and manage electric vehicle charging stations.
Note for installation partners: please share this form with the organisation to which you provide services.
After you submit the form, you'll receive confirmation email with a reference number (like #421997). Make note of this number and refer to it when contacting our team.
Step 2: Account review
Our Operations Delivery Team will review your application within two business days. We'll send you written approval or rejection based on the following requirements:
Minimum requirements
- Your organisation must have an ABN that is registered for GST
- You must provide three contacts:
- an Authorised representative: the decision-maker for the organisation
- an Accounts payable/receivable contact: we will send invoice and disbursement advice here
- an Incident contact: we will send station incident notifications to this email address
Additional requirements for public stations
- Provide details of the maintenance agreement you've arranged for your publicly-available stations
- Read and agree to our Site host Terms and Conditions, linked to within the form. Please tick the box on the form to acknowledge that your organisation accepts them
Step 3: Account creation
Once we've sent you confirmation of approval, we'll create your site host account and send you and your installation partner a summary of what we've set up.
Your Authorised representative will receive a Site Host Activation prompt by email. Complete this step to:
- Sign in to your Chargefox dashboard
- Re-confirm your acceptance of our Terms and Conditions
- Provide your organisation's banking details (if you are planning to collect revenue from charging sessions)
Step 4: Confirm your charger setup
After activation, you'll need to confirm these settings with the Chargefox Operations Delivery Team if you're planning to add charge stations:
- Access type: available to the public, or private
- User access: RFID card, or 'plug and play'
- Pricing: the amount you will charge for using the station, usually in cents per kWh
Our team can help you discuss options and additional requirements.
Step 5: Setup complete
Once everything is configured, we'll confirm that your account setup is complete and provide your Site Host name to share with your installation partner.
