If you host charge stations, you can use the Chargefox portal to reset a station when experiencing technical issues. Two reset options are available: soft reset for minor connectivity issues, and hard reset for unresponsive stations.
When to reset a charge station
Consider resetting a station when experiencing:
- Connectivity issues or slow response times
- Unresponsive stations that won't start or stop charging sessions
- Stations displaying error messages
It is recommended to try a soft reset first. If a soft reset doesn't resolve the issue, try a hard reset.
How to reset a station
To reset a station, navigate to Network then Charge stations from the Site host portal navigation. Click on the station you want to reset. Click the 'Reset station' button.
- Choose your reset method from the modal:
- Soft reset: Restarts the station's software without fully powering down. Useful for minor issues like connectivity or slow response times
- Hard reset: Restarts all station hardware and software. Useful for unresponsive stations or if a soft reset didn't work
- Select either 'Soft reset' or 'Hard reset' Then click 'Reset and stop charging.' The reset process will begin and may take up to fifteen minutes to complete.
