You can order and activate your personal RFID card in the 'My profile' section of the Chargefox app.

What is an RFID card?
An RFID card is a physical card that you can use to start a charging session, as an alternative to using the Chargefox app. It’s a great option if you prefer not to rely on your phone or mobile data. You can also share the RFID card with a family member, allowing them to start a charging session that is linked to your account. When you use your RFID card at a charge station, the credit card linked to your app account will be charged.
How to order an RFID card
You can order an RFID card via your Chargefox app for $9.90 per card. Follow the steps below to order your RFID card:
- Open the Chargefox app
- Navigate to My profile
- Scroll down to RFID cards and select Order card
- Follow the on-screen instructions
How to activate your RFID card
Follow the steps below to activate your RFID card. Please be aware that the RFID card can only be linked to one vehicle and account.
- Open the Chargefox app.
- Navigate to ‘My profile’.
- Scroll down to ‘RFID cards’.
- Select ‘Add card’.
- Enter the card number found on the front of your RFID card.
Your RFID card is now active. You'll be able to see your charge history for sessions started via the RFID card in the Charge history screen in the app.
If you are Fleet driver, please do not add your Fleet RFID card to the app. Instead, ask your Fleet manager to invite you to use the Chargefox app as a Fleet driver.
How to deactivate your RFID card
If you have lost your RFID card, you can deactivate it via the Chargefox app by following these steps:
- Open the Chargefox app
- Navigate to My profile
- Scroll down to RFID cards
- Tap Delete next to the card you want to deactivate
Note: You can reactivate your RFID card at any time by re-adding the card number to your account.
Using your fleet, novated lease or car rental RFID
If you've been given an RFID card or fob by your Fleet manager, novated lease provider or car rental company, this RFID comes ready to use. There is no activation required in the Chargefox app. To start charging, simply tap your RFID card at any compatible Chargefox station and your session will begin automatically.
